UN Security Council Demands Syria
Spokesperson, Lou Charbonneau, must stop their military actions with Iranian fighters.
The quote is below:
“The Syrian, Russian and Iranian militaries should immediately comply with the UN Security Council resolution demanding that UN monitors be granted access to Aleppo. Such monitoring is crucial as Syria, Russia and Iran have abysmal records complying with their obligations to protect civilians in Syria and allow aid access. At the same time, the UN General Assembly should quickly convene an Emergency Special Session and should also adopt a resolution establishing an impartial international mechanism to gather and preserve evidence of serious crimes and prepare cases for individual prosecution. Such a mechanism would complement the UN Commission of Inquiry and could deter those contemplating further atrocities in Syria,” said Louis Charbonneau, UN director at Human Rights Watch.
